Activity Information
State Rally is the biggest, annual state-wide Scout event in the NSW Scout calendar. This event is open to ALL Scouts in NSW. The theme for 2026 will be - Race Against Time!
Everyone - Leaders, Venturers and Youth Members - are encouraged to come along in costume for a sensational weekend building.
This event is focused on giving the attendees a worthwhile activity whereby they have some fun and learn while doing. The focus of State Rally is to provide activities to challenge the Scouts, which can contribute to the Personal Progression Framework. Patrol-based activities give opportunities for everyone to participate, assist and lead.
This is a competition and self-cater camp. Patrols will cater and cook their own meals using hike stoves (which may be borrowed from 1st Narellan Scout Group by those who do not have their own). Participants will earn points whilst completing fun-filled activities for their Patrol. The marking scheme will be based on their performance against the activity outcomes and their demonstrated teamwork as a Patrol. Activities vary in duration and may consist of a few small activities. Patrol Leaders will also be scored on their Leadership capabilities.
Registration
PATROL LEADERS - Please read the Registration Guide in the Documents tab in ScoutEvent
Scouts must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 people in a Patrol to register. If you do not have 4 people, please contact us at staterally@nsw.scouts.com.au and we will allocate you to a Patrol.
The members of each Patrol will be registered in ScoutEvent by their Patrol Leader at: https://www.events.nsw.scouts.com.au/event/2174
Early Bird registrations close at MIDNIGHT on the 21 June 2026.
Camping & Accommodation
There will be two Sleep Points (we call them RACs) and will have members allocated to them during registration. Each Sleep Point will run activities around Cataract Activity Centre. Each activity will be supervised by Leaders and assisted by Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts and other adult helpers.
Scouts will set-up and sleep in their own hike tents (which may be borrowed from 1st Narellan Scout Group by those who do not have their own). The Scout sleeping areas are supervised till late in the evening and from the early hours of the morning. There are leaders close-by overnight to manage any emergencies. Scouts will be hiking to a different Sleep point on the second night. This will be a lightweight camp where children must carry their packs.

Postage is available and recommended so you can have your merchandise before the event. Please note there will be very limited stock at the event so ordering online is your best option.
